Course Overview: The Medicare Access and CHIP
Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) repeals the Medicare Sustainable Growth
Rate (SGR) methodology for updates to the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) The
final rule will change the way Medicare incorporates qualified measurements into
payments and develops new policies to address and incentivize participation in
APMs. Under MACRA, there will be an increased focus on the quality and value of
care delivered. According to CMS, MIPS eligible clinicians or groups are
expected to report on applicable measures relevant to the eligible clinician's
services or care rendered. This course will focus on MIPS and the potential
