Florida Biomedical Waste Training
Course Details:
Duration: 30 Minutes
Target Audience: Employees Residing in Florida
Course Overview: In accordance with State Regulations (Chapter 64E-16.003 F.A.C.) all new personnel who will handle biomedical waste as part of their work responsibilities will be given initial training in our biomedical waste management system before their duties commence. All medical employees (e.g., Nurses and Medical Assistants) will receive training on biomedical waste at the time of hire, prior to assignment, and prior to working on any task that requires the handling of biomedical waste and OPIM.
New York Medicaid Compliance
Course Details:
Duration: 30 Minutes
Target Audience: Employees Residing in New York
Course Overview: The purpose of the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General's (OMIG) mandatory compliance program is "to enhance the integrity of the New York State (NYS) Medicaid program by preventing and detecting fraudulent, abusive, and wasteful practices within the Medicaid program and recovering improperly expended Medicaid funds while promoting high-quality patient care." Under NYS Social Services law, providers of Medicaid-funded services will be better able to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and detect potential fraud if the required compliance program is adopted.
Texas HIPAA Privacy
Course Details:
Duration: 90 Minutes
Target Audience: Employees Residing in Texas
Course Overview: This training is for Texas residents with the definition of "covered entity" under Texas HB300 differs from the definition of a covered entity under HIPAA. This training covers the Texas law which requires each covered entity to provide training to employees regarding the state and federal law concerning protected health information (PHI) as necessary and appropriate for the employees to carry out their duties.

Course Overview: This training is for Texas residents with the definition of "covered entity" under Texas HB300 differs from the definition of a covered entity under HIPAA. In Texas, a covered entity is any individual or organization that assembles, collects, analyzes, stores, or transmits the PHI of state residents. This training covers the Texas laws that require each covered entity to provide training to employees regarding the state and federal laws concerning protected health information (PHI) as necessary and appropriate to carry out their duties.
WISHA Safety Training
Course Details:
Duration: 2 Hours
Target Audience: Employees Residing in Washington
Course Overview: All Washington State physicians and dentists must also comply with the Washington Industrial Safety Act (WISHA) and the Division of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) standards which meet or exceed Federal OSHA standards. This training program meets the CMS obligation and demonstrates the effectiveness of a compliance program, allowing organizations residing in Washington to proactively deter and detect violations of the law.
